Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BeautyBar.Tech (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Service is operated by My Village Plus Consulting Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including account holders (employers), invited team members (employees), and visitors to our marketing site.

2. The Service

BeautyBar.Tech is a cloud-based workforce management platform designed for beauty bar franchise operations. The Service includes staff scheduling, time off management, HR records, training modules, inventory tracking, and issue tracking.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email to registered account holders.

3. Account Terms

  • You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free trial at a time.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.
  • You are responsible for all data entered into the Service by you or your invited team members.

4. Subscription & Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis, billed per location. Pricing is published on our pricing page and may change with 30 days’ notice.

Free Trial

New accounts receive a free trial period. During the trial, you have access to all features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing period.

Billing Cycles

Subscriptions are available in monthly, quarterly, and annual billing cycles. Quarterly and annual plans are billed in advance for the full period. Monthly plans are billed at the start of each month.

Payment

All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for recurring subscription fees. All amounts are in US dollars unless otherwise stated.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.

Monthly plans: no refunds for partial months. Quarterly and annual plans: no prorated refunds for unused time. Free trial cancellations: no charge if cancelled before the trial period ends.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent
  • Use the Service to store data that is unrelated to workforce management

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by My Village Plus Consulting Inc. and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Village Plus Consulting Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Service ceases immediately
  • We will make your data available for export for 30 days after termination
  • After the 30-day export window, your data will be deleted within 90 days

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify registered account holders by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
